Seriously, check your damn privilege before you go judging

I wish some people would quit this GODDAMN "you're just being a victim" BS which is nothing other than a judgement call based on not even enough information to pass that judgement on that person.

And the people doing this judgement call are people who are doing so much better that they forget they may be positioned to do so in the first place, to overcome whatever they've overcome, than the poor sod they're judging as failing or wallowing or whatever else repulsive black and white thinking.

EVERYONE is at a different place in their journey. And if someone's doing badly how dare you decide they're just being a "victim".

You don't know how far someone has already come or that now they're in burnout or without the support network YOU might take for granted and which you are forgetting is probably largely responsible for your success or courage that YOU are taking full credit for. BULL sh!t.

Some people are doing badly on what others dismiss as less trauma than that experienced by those others who have sailed through worse challenges with flying colors. Still, does that give those "winners" a right to call the others whiners?

No, "suffering" is NOT "a competition" but YOU make it become arguably one when you pit your triumphs against someone's legitimate suffering.

I'm just sick of the sanctimonious crap around here sometimes.

The "YOU" here is anyone who recognized themselves as one of those riding a high horse. Nice view up there?

Yeah, I agree. People shouldn't judge others as "just being a victim", because they may be honestly struggling with things.

Thanks, TheAP. I believe that most people expressing a problem are very likely trying the best they can; I know that this is the case with me.

I apologize for the ranting vent but this stuff is seriously getting to me and I'm finding bits of it on here every day lately.

I'm doing badly at this moment. I'm going to log off for tonight, I need to get away from here. I've been made angry again by being on WP tonight.

In and around reading some of the stuff that's posted here, believe it or not I've actually been trying to be in a good mood. I'm struggling with a massive case of the kind of inertia and lack of ability to get motivated about anything that comes with a wave of depression, and I'm in one of those waves lately. I'm finding it hard to just carry on. I don't want to die or anything like harming myself but I'm also finding it hard to keep going with the demands of life in general. I'm very sick of other people's impact on my life, too, and disrespect for my needs or my process.

I'm logging off for tonight.

I agree that certain things about this community can be infuriating sometimes. I hope you feel better soon.

PPR is full of this, with the likes of 4chan probably the worst... although, ultimately, it's a war of words, so unless these sociopathic clones of veiled aggression act out in violence outside then I suppose nothing comes of it, although what's even worse is if someone else is convinced to do that due to their words, but then counterarguments might convince them otherwise, although the most extreme will seek an echo chamber regardless.
