http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/22/magaz ... .html?_r=0Thank you. It a battle just to get my parents on board with the idea of marijuanna, I can't see them getting on board with psychedelics as they arent legal, though I have no moral qualms with either of them.
I have to see my doctor for a 3rd time in order push him to provide the marijuanna clinic with a more detailed referral letter than the one he already sent and also ask him to refer me to several clinics at the same time to increase the chances and speed of getting in. I'll have to prod him to make sure he isn't lazy and actually keeps pressure by contacting the clinic over and over again.
My peer support worker had to wait 5 months and it would have been longer had both she and her doctor hadnt been constantly on top of this. It is just such a pain in the ass to get doctors to listen, develop a sense of urgency and get them to overcome their laziness to actually get off their ass and help. It requires nonstop micromanaging and advocation on the patient's part sadly.
