I posted a while ago that my daughter was having quite a few problems and before I carry on I would like to thank the people on WP who took the time to post replies of support and advice.

Since then things have taken a turn. She was recently diagnosed with HFA and although at the time it was a shock for her, she has taken it really well and for the first time in her life she has taken the bull by the horns and the diagnosis seems to have given her the confidence to move on and look to the future.

She is now in adult education and working really hard, getting top marks in all her studies.

She seems happy and almost like a new person. She has even made friends and has been on a night out with them recently and that is something she hasn't done in years.

I am so proud of her.

I am glad, too.

I'm glad she "took the bull by the horns," despite her diagnosis.

Her story could be an inspiration for others who are frustrated by Asperger's/autism.

Good news BB, I imagine the similarities the two of you share will strengthen the mum-daughter relationship even further :) .
