~ and my computer access situation - becomes WORSE AND WORSE  .
I have hinted at a bit of it in my other posts to-day  .
Basically , I'm not sure how much , until my money comes , computer access I may manage , and , even if my money comes - Perhaps dumping EVERYTHING over and heading up to W$ashington st7ate or Oregon would be advisable , as just EVERYTING , or so i0t seems/ed  , that I hoped to build from or have/had in San Francisco is collapsing now  .

People online can't help you with your financial situation.

I have read your posts and it is a horrendous predicament that you are in. I don't know what to say though because I don't think I can help you myself. I can only to suggest going to your doctor to get more help.

Don't you have a social security worker who can help you get accomodation? Can't you move to a council house?

(I don't see how moving states would help you)

...The British " council house " concept (in my understanding of it??) doesn't apply here , thank you .

It sounds good.

...It was an elsewhere-WP friend (even further away from me than you , KK) - saying he knew someone in SF who would meet me , the next morning (meaning this morning) at my shelter (which he knew the address of) .
It did not happen .
The person in SF did not show up . :(
I said this elsewhere here , today .

Just to clear up any confusion, here are the facts:

1. I have arranged for someone in SF to meet ASS-P on Dec. 14 and take him to the orientation. This person is a very busy person but has showed interest in helping ASS-P with this.

2. Yesterday, ASS-P urgently asked if he could meet this person before that date. He specifically asked to meet the next day and I said I don't know if that would be possible but I would ask him to meet ASAP. This person doesn't come online all that much and sometimes it takes a second email for him to reply. My emails actually weren't going through yesterday, as it seems his inbox was full.

3. 24 hours on, I haven't heard back from the SF person. That doesn't mean the person won't get back in touch, it just means it may be another day or two. They often don't reply right away.

Since ASS-P was saying that I said things that I did not, I wanted to explain the facts of the matter. ASS-P has acknowledged this in private conversation but I wanted it acknowledged on the forum.

So you can keep your friendship with this person intact, I would warn them that giving him a phone # or other immediate-access way to contact him/her may result in him constantly calling - he asks for assistance on this board multiple times weekly although he's never gotten anyone from here to agree to be his "shoulder" or whatever he wants.

I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just pointing out that your friend may want to be very cautious about something like giving him a phone # - already a boundary has been crossed because your friend was willing to meet him Dec. 14th and not only did he want to meet the person (who is giving of their time freely) SOONER but the very next day and then came here claiming the person didn't show when there was no agreement in place other than for Dec. 14th.

(Apparently real names aren't meant to be used on the forum, didn't know previously. So I'll be calling him ASS-P from now on.)

Thank you Omniel for the advice. At this point, I think any form of immediate contact is good. Hopefully ASS-P will get a cheap and easy-to-use cell phone, now that he can afford one, to make contact much easier.

The SF helper has replied and they will try to meet Saturday or Sunday afternoon at the shelter where ASS-P currently is. It may depend on the weather, as they have other things to get done on the weekend aswell, but they'll do their best.

My overall plan is for the SF helper to reach out to a large-scale audience and tell ASS-P's story. That would ideally generate thousands of dollars via something like a GoFundMe page (which I will not link here) and/or get ASS-P into secure housing by other people's generosity after hearing of his plight. That's the goal. I'm less certain it will come to fruition than I was a month ago but if anyone can do it, it is this SF person. That's why it's so important they meet and whatever happens is whatever happens.

The SF helper went to ASS-P's shelter on Saturday afternoon. Whether ASS-P was there or not, I'm not sure of. The shelter wouldn't give the helper any information, so he just left a note. He was apparently going to try again today, haven't heard back yet.

I hope ASS-P gets a phone, and keeps it.

Most shelter staff tend to be of the as*hole category, and might not convey the message. They might not treat that SF person too well. That person needs to be "nicely persistent," and to have a strong stomach,

I commend this person for going this far on his behalf.

The only people shelter staff will give info to (even on whether someone is in the building right then or not) is law enforcement, and usually only with a warrant or subpoena.

Thanks guys, appreciate the info. In the future for situations like this, it might be best to contact the shelter ahead of time and let them know someone might be asking for a person there.

Hopefully things went well on Sunday. KK, you're right, now that ASS-P can afford it, a cell phone with a pre-paid plan would be advisable. If it's on a plan that can last 6 months or even a full year, it means credit won't automatically run out for quite a while, theoretically allowing more time to send and receive calls.
