I want to first address the fact that I love my family and I am very lucky to have them. I am not in any way suggesting that my family are "the problem" or that they are burdening me. Quite the opposite, actually.

I am seriously struggling to manage my stress levels and because of that I get really irritable and often need a lot of time to myself. This is bad for the family because they are either on the receiving end of my moodiness or they are having to spend more time with the dog, who can be very hyperactive and demanding at times.

Its frustrating for everybody because I end up slacking on my responsibilities and commitments as soon as I get really overwhelmed and my threshold is getting worse. I'm feeling really fed up about this. I'm trying my best but it's never enough.

Yes. I think that applies to a lot of Aspies. They are better off if they can get a job and move out of the family home.

I don't really have a choice at the moment. Plus I did live independently before and that didn't stop me from being stressed out. I need to learn how to manage the stress I'm dealing with in the here and now because it's not good for mine and my family's health.
