After this horrible week I feel like I'm either in a world I'm not supposed to exist in, or that I'm in a world that really doesn't exist, and either way I am going to die soon because my brain is shutting itself down. I feel like I'm delirious, but I have no fever. Like my brain is slowly rotting away and is going to ooze out through my ears and nose. My mother and I went out today and I had to keep everything bad inside as much as possible but I almost felt like passing out on the ground. I kind of wished that I would because then people would how badly I feel without my telling them.

Why do I bother telling anyone anything? Just makes things worse.

Yep, I know how that is. I feel like almost every time I tell someone how I feel they don't understand and they don't take me serious or they have no clue what to even say or do. Like you said, why bother. I feel like I might as well be talking to a wall. I am told to "talk about it you'll feel better", but no I end up feeling worse and so alone because of it. Those of us that share the common trait of having ASD have the potential to better understand each other though. Sadly, I haven't been able to really make any acquaintances on the spectrum, online or offline. Those that I have met really don't want to talk about it for whatever reason or don't have enough self-awareness to go in to a deep discussion about it with me. I am almost at that point where I am just going to decide to become a hermit. I am happier being alone than I am being lonely around others.

The world has always been insane. It just so happens that news gets around more quickly now than ever before.

I'm just curious, are you guys depressed, or just apathetic?

I'm misanthropic.

as a new user, you should know that the haven is for support only, not misanthropy.

not quite supportive. "apathetic" would have been better left out.

one can describe oneself as feeling apathetic, and ask another if they are feeling apathetic, but to term another person on this forum as apathetic can come across as gauche at best, sounding a lot like calling somebody else "lazy."

Oh I think you have me confused with the other person that posted, I did not use the "apathetic" word.

I'm both. Apathy is a common symptom of depression and I've been depressed for over 10 years now.

I'm sorry to hear that, I've had problems with depression myself in the past. Does anything help it?
