Why can't I have a gothic or alternative girlfriend?

I was doing better with my mind a while ago but the negative thoughts I suffer from were simply pushed down and they started to surface again yesterday when I spent the day alone.

I sometimes attend an Unitarian fellowship to help myself get out of the house and talk to others. I used to hope I would meet a girlfriend going to it but I gave up on that because most of the people who attend it are elderly and the few younger people are married couples with children.

A gothic girl who I've never seen before was at the social discussion. She had a baby in her lap and a little boy wandering around. I also heard her mentioning that the children had a father. When I saw all this, my feelings about not having a girlfriend as well as wondering if I will ever have one (I've had one before but it didn't last long) fully resurfaced and overwhelmed my mind to the point I had a breakdown. I started also wondering why don't I have a gothic or alternative looking girlfriend and are all of them taken?

Should I just commit suicide? I've suffered for almost 12 years from dysthymia and it's been unbearable.

hmm. hanging out at a unitarian fellowship thing doesn't sound like a plan to hook up with girls to me.

how about online dating- that seems to be the way people get to meet new people these days.
and it's a numbers game, too.
If you do it long enough, you'll get better at this sort of process of getting to know complete strangers - and will meet someone you like.

I've already stated many times why I refuse to go through the online dating route ever again. It didn't work back then and I doubt it will work now. The numbers aspect will never be in my favor.

Why not try going to Austin? If I remember you said you only live about an hour away. If you're looking for Gothic girls or alternative looking girls(not sure what that means.) I'm pretty sure there will be some in Austin! Maybe now you found what you wanted in a girl, now you just have to find where to meet them.

Alternative is pretty much a catch all term I use for those who aren't typical Bible Belters.

I have seen gothic girls as well as other types at music shows in Austin but they tend to already have boyfriends/husbands and trying to talk to them is difficult. :(

Well like the saying goes "birds of a feather flock together"! Even though those girls might already have boyfriends/husbands they might be able to help with finding a girlfriend or a place to go to meet people like them(don't be friends with them just for that purpose though...).

Hypothetically, what would you talk about if you met a gothic girl or alt. looking girl?

I would try talking to her about music and maybe things like anime, comics, video games, novels, and other interests.

I have a cat. But that is no substitute for a girlfriend.

Great, just wanted to make sure you had an idea for conversation when you come to a situation where you meet a girl. Is there any anime conventions or video game hangout or something going on around you or coming up? Maybe you could meet someone there.

Because quite frankly, women do not deserve you. Go back and re-read your posts; they're virtually all fixated on your sexual frustration; your ideal of help is people "offering their daughters or sisters in marriage to me", as if women were some inanimate object like a second-hand blender; there for no other purpose than to satiate your need for margaritas. You don't really want a relationship as much as someone else's body to masturbate yourself with, and nobody deserves to be subjected to that.
And loose the self-pity. You'll never get a date with that; people find it repellent.

You have terrible reading comprehension if you are getting that from my posts.

I never once stated I wanted anyone to offer me their daughters or sisters in marriage to me. The point of that post was that something like that wasn't happening despite what SJWs claim happens all the time. Margaritas? I don't drink at all and what you are assuming about me says more about yourself than it does me.

I know who I am. I don't see women as sex toys at all. If I did, why am I not settling for someone who is unattractive to me both mentally and physically? Try actually reading other people's posts and stop jumping to conclusions. If you think I am going to take any advice from you, you are damn wrong. I don't even want you in my threads. Stay out of mine and I'll stay out of yours.

Austin and the surrounding area tends to have anime conventions.

And off to those you go! I tried to do a quick check and all I could find was something at the end of July in Austin, but you probably know where to look for that stuff better than I do. Just go there, make conversations, try to make friends. Don't automatically think of women as potential girlfriends, think of them as potential friends just like you would do with guys that are interested in the same stuff as you are or seem like good people that you could get along with.

Was it Anime Overload? That one tends to happen around that time. Their annual year end convention is Ikkicon, which I've been to twice. One that happens in Round Rock, the doorstep of Austin, is Chibi Ushicon.

This is advice I can accept unlike Piobaire's which is just personal attacks in disguise. Unlike what he thinks, I don't see women as sex toys but human beings. I hate the redneck and ghetto thug outlooks that they are "b*****s and hoes".
