i had this feeling going on for a lot of time in a more mild way, but recently it got me really often that i just feel so dirty all time doesn't matter i just took a shower and then when i'm out i feel so embarrassed because i feel i'm dirty and greasy and disgusting. it just add to the fact that i already feel uncomfortable in public because i move different than everyone else. but now this feeling of being dirty is disturbing me too while inside house, i feel my skin super greasy and i wash it all time, my body just feels all weird. does anyone also struggle with this?

I know the feeling well.

Do you wash your clothes in the washing machine often?

Sometimes, when I wear the same clothes two days in a row, I feel sort of "dirty/greasy."

i do laundry once a week or maximum once every two weeks. i don't think this is the problem :/
i'm wondering if it's just a feeling or something is triggering my body to just become greasy? i feel specially my face oily. even if i wash it regularly. but the rest of the body feels more clumsy than habitual, i have no idea why.

I do know what you mean. Really I do.

My body feels differently in a bad way on some days, in a good way on other days.

By the way, I forgot to ask:

How's everything going with your family?

i haven't seen this message. it's fine. i think you may had seen the post about my sister getting her car robbed? she have insurance for it, so she will get the car value and she seems to be copping well, i talked to her and she sounded normal. i haven't see her as she lives in another city.

everything is also normalize after the strike, it lasted a bit more than a week, and although something are still missing in the supermarkets or are more expensive, everything is going back to normal.

i got very shocked on being unable to buy fruits or eggs or onions or potatoes. i haven't ever experienced something like this, but it was somewhat short. it was also bad because as there wasn't buses, they cancelled the university classes, so i had two weeks of free time, which messed a lot my sleep rhythmn but ok.

also, this dirty feeling improved a bit. and i actually think my skin got a bit more oily than usual (maybe it is something i'm eating?) because now i have a bit of acne. i think this can be for taking too hot showers, my shower is very weird, it basically have only two modes: freezing cold or boiling. as it's getting cold, i can't stand taking a cold shower. i bought a mint soap which gives me a clean feeling for a bit longer than i was feeling. i still have a intense need to wash my face hourly but in overall i'm better.

It's possible that you're over washing your skin right now (OCD?) and if you're using soap all the time, it's very drying and stripping.. so then your skin responds by generating more oil trying to rebalance itself, which might make you feel greasy and the need to wash your face/skin again.. so you do, and make matters worse. If you've already bathed and there's nothing actually dirty on your face to wash off, you might want to consider just rubbing a moisturizing ointment (oil based vs. a water based lotion) on it, then it shouldn't kick into oil generating overdrive. Alternatively you could rub a little coconut oil into your skin - it feels pretty good, is antibacterial, and smells pretty good, too. (pending you get a really high quality virgin organic coconut oil vs. anything that's been pastuerized or filtered etc that may as well be vegetable shortening. My personal favourite brand is Maison Orphee - there's a reason it's rated number 1 by various online reviews. Worth every penny.)

This might help solve your problem. It certainly can't hurt anything.

I wanted to suggest that maybe your change in your skin is related to weather? What season are you in there?

Sometimes when I sweat a lot (summer) it is hard to feel clean.

Also make sure your hair is clean, because oil from the hair can rub off onto your face and be irritating.

A solution to the shower problem may be to just moisten yourself by the shower, turn it off, then use a wash cloth and small basin of soapy water to lather your body, then use the wash cloth to remove most of the soap. Finally a quick shower to remove the remainder of the soap. Neither icy cold nor scalding hot sounds very enjoyable!

I really like witch hazel water for my face. It is just really cooling and naturally anti bacterial. You can keep it in the fridge to make it feel even better.

Sorry you have been having a hard time. Not nice to not feel comfortable.
