The rules don't seem very explicit about this. I see more and more that someone makes a thread here---like I'm doing now---to complain about what others are saying somewhere else on the site, without bothering to engage them in the discussion there, and refusing to let them defend themselves in the new thread, since it's in "The Haven". Does everyone get to use this forum to bypass the rules against personal attacks? Can I get away with saying X is an absolute @%# and a real, ^$@*ing %'+#, asking for replies which support my assertion, so as not to hurt my feelings, and demanding that X refrain from posting in my thread?

I think only a mod can answer this for you.

But if you want to show me some examples of current personal attacks in the Haven that haven't had a mod intervene , I'll tell you if I think it's personally O.K.

Since the rules aren't explicit & it's technically not cross posting the same topic, we have two options:

1.) Respond to those new threads here and shut them down with facts.
2.) Ignore those new threads here - but that won't teach anyone that their distorted thoughts are wrong.

I prefer option 1.) because it results in learning and progress for those who need to learn such things.
