Why do some people say I'm a bad person?
I feel like anyone who has a non-PC or controversial viewpoint about society and politics are treated like they're bad people in society.
I can sympathize a little bit with the guys here who complained about feminism and some of women's tendencies before. But even here let alone anywhere else, those people are called misogynist even though it has nothing to do with hating or discrimination. Everyone says they are bad people, and it's been accepted as the norm.
There are other issues, but this is one I see a lot. Even if a person has the slightest suggestion of controversial opinion, there will be people who say they are a bad person.
That's the price you pay for having, or at least expressing, a controversial viewpoint.
American society is very divided in recent years, and certain politicians have exploited that division (you can guess who I'm talking about). I think we have all become intolerant of other people and more willing to criticize or distance than we used to be.
I guess my feeling is I know some say bad things about me based on what I say and do, and I'm okay with that. But if I weren't okay with it, I would keep my mouth shut. I used to reserve my opinion quite a bit when I was still employed. Now that I'm retired, my husband and I roar with laughter while expressing un-PC opinions to each other, or talking back to the TV.

A finger in every pie.
1. Because they THINK that you are a bad person -- not that I think that, mind you.
2. They're just mean people, and they want to be mean to you.
3. Maybe -- just MAYBE -- they think they're being helpful, and it just doesn't come across that way.
Bit of advice: Try to NOT focus on what you believe other people think about you; and if someone is being mean to you, ignore them, get away from them, or both.
Sorry, that's the best I can do. I hope it helps.
