When do you need antidepressants?

I have depression, but I usually get along fine without medication. When I do feel my depression, though, it hits hard. Do I need antidepressants or am I better off without them?

But like I said, this isn't a constant thing. Do I start taking them all the time, even when I don't feel like I need them, or just when I feel depressed?

Well, if you doubt it, you don't need them. You know when you need them, trust me.
