I am in the phone store now finishing a new phone's set-up - Because I had to but ANOTHER! phone Because, briefly, today, my ' better '
" taking- outdoors phone got stolen from me in the Santa Cruz Metro station .
Just as I am attempting the last-ditch preparations before being picked up to move to Patterson, CA, tomorrow, for a perhaps-temporay staying in a board and care place there, as I've outlined before. I'm not real wild about the prospect - of a b-&-c, not so much of Patterson, though I wonder how much public transportation there - But I do need to lose weight, granted .

You poor thing... I say this with affection. Good luck - you've had several people's lifetime allotment of the other kind of luck, by now.

...OK, there was a 180 degree reversal almost immediately after I got that letter out - The social worker wrote me and said, or similar, " there was doubt whether the Patterson place could provide proper care ", and furthermore, it was not a liscenced care facility,.so going there was off for now. So, presumably I am still in the expensive motel room, depleting my money.
I had already done a USPS address switch, I don't know what to do about that now .
If she thought there could be problems, it's good that it was called off, but, I have to move on from here...and, I was going to vacate the storage place just in time to not have to pay another month there . So, anyway, the move is 100%0called off at this point.

Your social worker is a flaming incompetent. Which doesn't help, I know, because you don't get to choose who you work with.

I suspect that if she had to foot the bill for the expenses she is causing you, she'd find you a good place, fast.

Sorry all this is happening. Or not happening.
