As per a vancouverisawesome Facebook post to a dailyhive article.

I only caught the tail end of it as I arrived to the beach this evening & snapped this pic just before the last flight of stairs down the 480 steps to the sand:

(I always take a Sunset pic and post it to Facebook.. almost every dry night after work/weekends, especially in the Summer.)

But some of these taken around the city several minutes earlier are just fantastic:

Mods: You can move this to Random if you want to. I was going to post it there. But then decided that those browsing/posting here in The Haven are would likely benefit more from seeing some of these images than those joking around in the Random forum.

red sky at night, sailor's delight - red sky at morning, sailors take warning.

High latitude places like Canada get long dramatic sunrises, and sunsets.

In the tropics, even in Florida, the sun just leaps into the sky because it has to reach the top of the sky by noon, and then it dives below the horizon with directness at night.

I love a good sunset image! I'm going to have to upload some pictures I took from atop Mt. LeConte in Tennessee a couple of years ago. It was the most stunning sunset I ever witnessed.

I saw an amazing sunset recently. Low dark clouds that turned red and purple.

all the tall dense forest here prevent sunrise views from reaching the ground.

One thing I liked about Nevada is that it had a big sky with excellent sunsets.
