How is your Easter? Is it stressing anyone else out?

Not really. It's like any other weekend, just a little longer.

It could have been worse......

Yep, I'm on edge.
Yesterday I tried to go to a church and got so triggered that I needed to leave after a few minutes. Sensory discomfort plus social anxiety, I started to tremble and my husband needed to walk me outside.
I used to go to church every Sunday but now I can't, I have no power for masking and behaving properly.
Now all the noisy family of my husband - they don't talk, they shout at each other. I feel like lying on the floor and shouting but I know it's not a good idea - so I try to hide upstairs for as long as I can.
Tomorrow we'll go to my family. I'm not looking forward to it, either. Noise and all the people who just won't leave you alone.

Three bank holidays in four days. Awful. I struggle to deal with Sundays once a week, so this is overkill. Before long we'll also be getting the May Day bank holiday and what used to be known as 'Whit Monday' at the end of May. Thanks, but no thanks....

Same here, my little sister has a nice partner but he yells. They are the model NT couple, pre-empting each others every need, all wrapped up in each other no matter what else is going on.
I've had a busy time recently babysitting nieces and nephews for days on end. All of the adults descending has been a bit full on.

Most shops closed, restricted hours at the supermarket, no post, restricted public transport, general expectation that I should be 'enjoying myself' when the routines I enjoy (riding the buses/trams, going to the shops, etc, are themselves restricted). I like the idea of a 'normal' day, when people are at work, services running, financial markets trading, and so on....

I did a big shop yesterday ( which was a nightmare , so much hustle & bustle it made me physically ill ) so Easter is going to be a breeze - as in I can just chillax. The sun outside is too hot and bright for me , so my GF is sunbathing , I'm on my own inside .

Staying inside is a normal day for me.

I went to church for the dawn service today. I go alone and I have severe agoraphobia. Like magz said, the social aspect of church can be challenging; I find this especially true since I attend on my own. Today's Liturgy was quiet and peaceful, but I'm glad to be home.

Easter has always been a very nostalgic time for me. I try to recreate routines from when I was a child and also incorporate my own ideas as an adult. I enjoy having three days of quiet holiday. The holidays don't affect my routines because I'm a home body at the best of times.

We had a family gathering yesterday, but today and tomorrow I'm free to be me.

Some very bad things have been happening in my girlfreind's family but it's completely unrelated to Easter. I'm not doing anything special today which is nice to have a whole day where I don't have much going on or to worry about cuz there's been things going on last week.
