In my building there is a room with a bathroom. Right now my room has no bathroom so I have to use the public one. I developed plantar warts on my feet from the public shower. So maybe using a public bathroom is kind of dangerous. The only problem with the room with the bathroom is there is a loud woman right next to it that b*****s into the phone all night. I used to hear her across the hall where I am now but now I drown out the noise with a fan and I don’t hear her at night. But right next door it will be louder probably. Many people have complained about her and the landlord talked to her 3 times and nothing works. What should I do?

Take the room with the private bathroom.

Isn't there lots of noise where you are, anyway?

I called the landlord and said I wouldn’t take the room until she’s gone. No she is the only noisy one. The room I’m in now is pretty quiet because the guy next door is always gone but still pays for the room. Now when she is gone and I move into the room with the bathroom, I hope another noisy person doesn’t move in.

I know I’ll be just moving across the hall but the thought of changing rooms stresses me out. I don’t like change. I don’t like how the toilet in the new room is in a cubby hole so you have to lean in and flush it and I’m worried it will spray me in the face. I was in the room to look around when it was empty and the toilet made weird noises when I flushed it. Maybe because it hasn’t been flushed in a while. I’m not sure if I should leave well enough alone or take the room with the bathroom.

Perhaps I could just use the public toilet if need be but use the private shower. I do like the flooring in the new room.

So your present room has a shower, but not a toilet?

No I mean I could use the private shower when I get my new room. But the new room looks like it has a low flush toilet and it is located in a cubby hole so I might have to keep using the public toilet.

I know that sort of toilet. They have them in Europe. And maybe in Canada. And a few places in the US.

Is it situated better then the one that's in the public bathroom? It doesn't matter if it's perfect so long as it's better than what you've currently got.

Can't you just close the lid to prevent the toilet from spraying you in the face?

I dont know why I didnt think about that noca. I slept on it and thought its not that big of a deal if I took the room. I dont like that you need assistance changing the ceiling light. But I could maybe get my dad to do that if I dont want to keep bugging the landlord. He could also unclog the new toilet if its a problem. I could still use the old one. But I hoping to avoid using the public bathroom all together.
