I'm a member of the local university's anime club despite not going to that school. It's not free though, but it's a very reasonable sum. Are there any animeclubs that you'd need to pay for but are still reasonable price over there?
I know that UT in Austin has an anime club but I don’t know if you can pay to go as a non-student. The library in Waco says they have an adult anime club that meets once a month and a teen one that meets twice.
I remember there was a Austin Aspergers Meet Up group that had anime events for their teen subgroup and I asked if they could do one for adults but they told me they couldn’t and to just talk to the adult fans if there were any at the meetings. I attended a meet up and it was just middle-aged and elderly men. I was bored to tears and ruled out ever going back until five years later when I decided to give it another try and there was a man closer to my age as well as some women this time around but I felt put out how they said Aspergers helped them in artistic pursuits while Aspergers has not done that for me. I haven’t tried it again since the March of last year.
