One big thing that's been bothering me is wondering WHEN the social distancing will end. I'm also sure that some will voluntarily want to keep doing this because they think it's too soon or whatever. Where do you stand on this?

I'm already socially distanced, my whole life. Nothing will change for me ... except I look forward to getting my normal, online groceries without such a hassle.

Why 2-4 years for a vaccine?

Information like this and I know I hears the 2-4 years somewhere, I just don't remember.

I vote with Fnord.

Maybe I'll go for a massage. That's about the only difference.

They’re talking about 18 months, max, for a vaccine.

They are already in the first phase of human trials. They’ve already completed the animal trials.

Can’t social distance if others don’t.

They don’t allow people in supermarkets here unless they’re wearing a mask.

I have to ask. In such a huge city like NYC where are all the people supposed to get a mask without leaving their homes first? I'm curious because there's supposedly a shortage for doctors and nurses but now people need them to buy food. I understand the requirement, I just don't know where / how people get all these masks in NYC?

People are told to use scarves, bandannas, etc if they don’t have masks.

Most people actually wear surgical-type masks, though.

Where I am, it's harder to find surgical masks than N95 for some reason. I guess most people want surgical, so they're sold out faster. I'm glad people can wear scarves etc. I'm picturing disabled people or older people who are starving, and don't have a mask in order to go shopping. Thanks for clarifying.
