I spent over a week in the psych ward.... The doctor cold turkeyed me off a med and I destabilized...

Anyway because another patient was misbehaving and scared me, I had a meltdown...

The doctor was like "has anyone said you had autism?"

Duh... Also the outpatient psych doctor earlier agreed with the clinition that assessed me in my ASD diagnosis...

Yay?

Sorry to hear that. Despite what some people say medications can improve the quality of life.

Sorry you went through this. It's not a good idea for a doctor to do it that way (cold turkey someone off med) and he/she ought to know better.

Your statement is correct

However, "can" , "should" and "will" are all different things

You can't measure the quality of life

All drugs have side effects

Anyone could correctly claim that anything improved their quality of life
