I made a joke in a comment on a YouTube video, the video was filmed about a year ago and was of a cop telling a man off for wearing a mask (not religion-related), so I thought I'd make a funny joke: "2019 - a cop tells a man off for wearing a mask, 2020 - a cop tells a man off for not wearing a mask" and I added a laughing emoticon to imply that my remark was not to be taken 100% literally. Other commenters laughed at my joke, but then some miserable c**t comes along and puts the most rudest, nastiest comment I had ever read and it really upset me to the point where I felt angry. He called me "numbty" and told me how thick and stupid I was and how I was giving "false accusations". It was just a joke stupid dickhead, take a chill pill and get a f*****g sense of humour for f**k sake. I didn't feed the troll, I just deleted my comment but I'm not sure if that will delete his reply too. I would report it because I don't tolerate that sort of s**t online, but I've already deleted my comment and there isn't an option to report.

I hate the comments section on YouTube, it is full of nasty, horrid remarks and I don't like it. I am not commenting on YouTube ever again. I hope that dickhead gets run over by a bus, the f*****g bastard.

It's okay Joe, there is always a heckler or two. Try not to take it personally. You made some people laugh. You brought a little joy to them, that is what matters.

I just got upset, as I didn't expect it. A few other people made the same joke as me (in more recent comments) so it's not like I was the only one who thought it up, but this dickhead didn't attack them (not that I wanted him to, because I don't like anyone being upset).

And he seemed to have good spelling and punctuation skills for a troll, if that is what he was.

First of all,
"Cat" is not spelt "Caat".

I'm sure his reply is deleted if he replies to your post and you deleted yours.
This has happened to me.

I think youtube comments are quite entertaining at times, if you ask me. I’ve had some good laughs over the years from on there.

I rarely see feedback from my comments. And I get more good comments than bad the rare times I either get back to the same video, or think to allow the feedback into my email.

The oddest exchange I ever had was with a guy on that real time chat feature on a live video. I needed some some classical music to help me focus while doing my taxes, so turned to a Utube channel that just ....does nothing more than feature a live cam pointed at a canal in sunny downtown Venice Italy while they play endless Vivaldi. Very relaxing. But folks were chatting, and one guy from the UK insisted that the scene was in the Bumfuck neighborhood of London. A lady, and I, both pointed out that "it's obviously friggin Venice. The caption even says 'Venice'". But he insisted that you "cant believe the caption, and that its the Bumfuck neighborhood of London". Gawd!

But yes some topics attract bigoted nasty folks while other video channels do not.

The irony.

But you know, you will unfortunately get a lot of different views on this and unfortunately you will find someone that will be a bit of a numpty. Please don't take those comments to heart. **hugs**
