What if someone had a personal dairy that was being read?
What if those people were offended by what you had written?
What if you deliberately made controversial comments in that diary for the snoops to read?
Oh, what fun that would be! <sigh>

I used to write in a diary/journal style for quite some time, and sometimes I’d get really paranoid that one of my family members was reading it (even though I write in dragon-script from the book Dragonology, to try to prevent other people from reading it, I thought they might have taken the book, translated, then put it back). I didn’t try to play with anyone like that (although some of the stuff I wrote would seriously make people think I was lock-her-up-for-life crazy, no joke or exaggeration), but I did write about my suspicions on occasion and a couple of times wrote about what a deep betrayal it would be if someone other than me was reading it.

Gosh, I didn’t even notice the word exchange until now. And I call myself an Aspie (attention to detail)

When you are being "Gaslighted", you come up with ways to expose what is happening behind your back.

What I described was an actual occurrence, at one point in my life.
I was both laughing my head off,
And in a state of serious, profound anxiety.

The way I figured, if they weren't reading my diary, sorry, I mean dairy, there would not have been a reason for concern.
As it turned out,
Yes, indeed, my diary was being read.
It was incontrovertible, based on the reactions around me.
So much for Trust.

My personal dairy being read spawned very serious problems that couldn't get resolved for the next 17 years.
Don't read personal dairies of your children.
Really, don't.

I know the feeling.

There was a point where I became really obsessed with it.
At some point, I became obsessed with making numerous codes and scripts.
But nothing sticks because it's decipherable or too hard.

I had a lot of trust issues since then, no matter how forgiving people are around me.
It never helps that my hearing is strong enough to overhear some conversations. That sometimes people assume I don't pay attention enough.



I've recently found a cipher that is neither decipherable by normal means, nor it's too hard for me.
On top of writing it on hand favored my cognitive preferences...

Went with traditional journaling with it with a real confidence that no one can ever read it.
And gave me my long awaited assurance.

Gained Number Post Count (1).
Lose Time (n).

Lose more time here - Updates at least once a week.

If someone read my diary I'd be very upset. It reminds me of Harriet the Spy which is a book about the same topic.

I had an ex that did this.....

Weird thing is, keeping a written record of events as they happen, really keeps things in an accurate perspective......

So when someone told me something that sounded odd about a past event, I could look it up and see what really happened.

It's very difficult to gaslight someone who keeps a journal.....
