I can't find really good info on this on the internet...

If a building wide boiler system goes out and is then fixed, how long does it take to get hot water back?

Several hours ago I completely lost hot water. I called maintenance and they said it was fixed, but would take awhile to heat up...

Several hours later water is still ice cold...

I call again and he told me to just "wait"

Maintenance has lied to me before, annoyed...

Can you ask neighbors on either side of you if they have hot water?
If not , get them to ask a couple of other neighbors; 8 to 10 phone calls to maintenance WILL get that water heater fixed!

And the building is heated with hot water too... It's starting to get really cold in here because it's below freezing outside... Not liking this....

I wouldn’t like it, either.

It’s early in the morning. I would just cuddle under blankets, get back to sleep, then call in the morning. Don’t wake up your neighbors; they would be pissed.

Sorry you’re going through this.
