Will those who care about me remember me when I go and will they wonder if I ever got a girlfriend and became happy?

You could always make an attempt to stay in touch with those people. Offer contact information or otherwise try to arrange continuing to have contact.

I just fear everyone will eventually break contact with me. I’ve had it happen throughout my life. I honestly can’t even visit a town anymore without thinking about an ex-friend since she lived there.

If I had a girlfriend and was talented in what I wish was at, I would feel more inclined to stay but because I don’t, my incentive has dropped.

I also don’t ever want to see this ex-friend in person again. She would surely mock me for being no different than when she knew me.
