I wish I had better communication skills
Im really good at typing and writing. However when it comes to conversations, I get way more nervous. I always say the wrong things. Sometimes I just shut down and I can't even talk.
Yesterday I had a lot of social interactions and I was too quiet. I couldn't even respond with words most of the time. I just nodded a lot or smiled. People seem to be ok with that though. Some people try to get me to talk more and they tease me for being really quiet. That makes me feel really self conscious. I wish I could find talking easy. It seems easy for a lot of people. It takes more effort for me to talk.

Do you find it easier to talk out loud when no one's around?
Is it easier when you can just info-dump than when you gotta have back-and-forth?

I talk to myself a lot. It's comforting. I dont usually info-dump to be honest. Most people do not like that.
Yeah, I've slowly learned that. I'm still pretty comfortable with doing it though, so long as the audience doesn't seem to mind.
I also do a lot of auto-dialogue, including even sometimes with other people present. Not everyone can follow, it's easier to make jokes that way than to explain something more serious.

I can relate. When I write, I can think through in peace what to say and can check for mistakes before I hit sent. When speaking to someone, there aren't any rehearsals or spell check. When in a group, I have trouble telling when someone has quit talking and often end up trying to talk at the same time as them or start talking at the same time with someone else. I also stutter a lot, and it seems to have only gotten worse over the recent years, though it could also be that I'm simply more aware of it now than I used to be.
