After being on this forum for almost eight years, I know now that I'm not on the autism spectrum. I have a lot of comorbids, but I'm just too at odds with most folks here.

I've enjoyed many interactions here. I wish you all the best. May you find peace and love in this life.

So what about the past? Did the doctor diagnose you as on the spectrum, or were you self-diagnosed?

I'm not sure that being at odds with many autistics means much beyond finding many autistics disagreeable.

I'm sure many autistic people struggle to fit in among other autists just as much as they do among other people.

One doesn't have to be on the Spectrum in order to be a viable member of this Site.

What made you think that you are?

Autism is a lifelong disorder, you have it since childhood if you do. Likewise, to diagnose it you'd have to tap into your childhood experiences and memories, often as perceived by family members.

The forum has no effect on those facts one way or another.

Sorry to see you go. I think most people here--as in life--are at odds with themselves. Your posts were coherent and thoughtful, and you'll be missed.

Enjoyed our conversations Veggie man.

Vegetable Man, this site is one group of people which does not represent all autistics everywhere. Plenty of formally diagnosed autistics have decided for one reason or another that they don't fit in here, but that does not mean they aren't autistic. I can't participate in most of the discussions here myself. I'm not sure I am autistic either, but as others are said, there's no rule that you have to be autistic to be here.

1)Being on the autism spectrum doesnt matter.

2)you're only at odds with folks in only one narrow part of life: politics. When the topic is anything from the whole rest of life than politics you seemed to get along very will with everyone.

3) You know full well that with your particular fringe of the fringe of the fringe political creed that you are "at odds" with 95 percent of the US population. So you know full well that you're also gonna be "at odds" with most of the population of any non politically themed website including the population of WP. So leaving WP because you're at odds with a lotta folks on the site is like being surprised that the water at a particular beach is "wet", and leaving that beach to find another beach "where the water is less wet".

So neither of your reasons for leaving WP are true reasons to leave the site.
