I'm going straight to the funeral home instead.

A woman in my province with a ruptured spleen died in the ER after they forced her to wait for six hours, which just shows how the much health care doesn't care, the world is ending, and humans are never there for you when you need them the most. So if I start feeling sick or get any pain or discomfort I'm just going to go to the funeral home. When they ask me why I'm there instead of the hospital, I'll tell them it's to save myself the trouble.

They'll probably tell me to buzz off and not come back until I really am dead, but maybe it'll be in the news or something. Maybe I'll wear a sign in front of the funeral home telling people who are sick to go there instead of the hospital top save themselves the trouble. I'll probably freeze standing out there all day, but at least I'll be showing the country how much I hate it right now.

I watched a long interview with the husband and it ended / cut out after her CT when they decided they couldn’t operate. He never got to the part of saying she died. I didn’t know it was her spleen. Why did her spleen rupture, and if they took so much blood when she arrived didn’t they have the results within six hours?

Such a horrible story.

My exbf was in hospital yesterday for what turned out to be pneumonia. They did the X-ray almost immediately and then left him on a gurney for five hours but eventually sent him home with meds. This was really far from my house. Where I am they estimate 12-15 hours for ER and many of them are closed outright from lack of staff.

Couldn’t believe it myself…..

I’m glad I got her individualized care in the end.
