I hear you. You've got to really, really know what you're talking about in PPR, with complete knowledge of all the definite facts of history, otherwise you just say the wrong thing and offend everyone, then you're labelled as racist, homophobic and everything else, which doesn't do your self-esteem any good.
Yep, I've been there and got the t-shirt.
Disclaimer: When I say "you" I mean it in second person, not you personally.
You're a good member here. I've always liked you and I don't believe you have ever offended others.
I think some people here are too intelligent for their own good (not saying you're not intelligent), and they use their intelligence as a tool to outword others and you'll never win but you feel you don't want to leave the argument until you have won. Then the mods come and lock it anyway so you'll never get closure. The intellects have won.
The three things I find most annoying in PPR are:
1. Most ppl are obsessed with political point scoring rather than sharing ideas, and discussing POV.
2. Hyperpartisan cliques defending their position, and bugger the Truth.
3. Disagreeing with one aspect of either side's narrative will send you to the naughty corner.
4. Misrepresentation.
(Autistic ppl aren't "supposed to" be like that.
)
Yes, I know there are 4 points, rather than three.
