lately my father has been acting like jerk to everyone. hell get really angry at the littlest thing, and irrationally angry at that. he will get really in-your-face and very sarcastic. when confronted hell storm
away and sulk like hes the victum. later hell give a lame ass nonapolagy and and then rant and rave and say things that never happened.

his voice has a melodic quality and hes quite charming to perfect strangers.

he trained the dog by smacking it. so much that become wild and would periodically go psychotic.

I feel bad for the dog. I got smacked around too.

My mom is pretty much the same way, or at least used to be.

He sounds a bit like my father was. He was a sweetheart to strangers too.

It sounds like he's "splitting." He may be under terrible pressure that you are unaware of.

Username, MY mom is the same way or at least sued to be... and she's a sweetheart to strangers too, though not in the same way at all. I think your dad might actually be suffering from depression. He probably tries to reach out to people but it's never enough stimulation to get him out of the depression. Irritibility is a sign of it believe it or not... the more extreme the irritability, the more extreme the depression. You should tell him about it, see a doctor on his behalf; if you have to, slip some Paxil into his coffee or something.

My dad's been an a***hole all my life, good thing my mum's divorced from him. He's childish and f*****g wrong in the head my dad is.

Sound's like my dad when he wasn't on obscene amounts of pot. Just ignore it, or, if you're stronger then him, beat the living hell out of him. Hell, maybe use a baseball bat.

Welcome to the club. Both my parents were major league as*holes and the principle cause of my nervous breakdown. The good news is that you always win in the end and after they die you get their money and their house.
