I might be wrong about this. I could just be overgeneralizing based on impressions of a few people I've been around lately. But, it seems like people are talking faster and more aggressively these days. Does anyone else feel this way?

I should probably be more geographically specific. I live in the Eastern U.S. If there really is such a trend, I could see it varying from one country or region to the next.

Dunno. I think some people talk fast and some people talk slow.

I've actually noticed a trend in people talking really monotone. I don't mean in an autistic way I mean just in a none emotional robotic way.

I have to literally walk away from them because it makes me lose the will to live.

Yes I have seen that, very sad. People are getting more aggressive, even google search, it won't allow you to search certain things. "The fire is here"

Not from what I've heard.

No one talks like that anymore. Bully.

Well you could always restart the trend.

I don't think I've heard anyone speak that monotone lately. Sounds like a good sleep aid though.

Maybe I'm just complaining because I'm a slow talker and I can't keep up.

:?

That was hilarious :D

When people finish my sentences I sometimes like to change directions just to make it worth their wait.

I don't know about in real life, but I think people talk faster than they used to on TV, like news announcers especially. And in real life I find that people who pride themselves on being competent professionals also tend to talk too fast.

I adore John Oliver but sometimes he talks so fast I have to stop watching because it's giving me a headache. Same with Mayim Bialik's podcast, when it's just her and she's answering viewer questions (not on TV, on Youtube).

Love the fast talking high trousers video! :D

in one of my current online classes, the lecturer talks at warp speed, AND there's always a quiz on what's said in the lecture (not from the text), so i have to pause every couple seconds to take notes and it is quite maddening.
