If I have to accept who I am why do people keep comparing?
Lots of people including my parents and my own self keep telling me to accept who I am and that I am different and that everyone else is different but it still feels as though we still live in a competitive world when I hear people still say that life is not a race. I still for some reason seem to think I've seen men who were maybe thin from school and college days, trying to make themselves look more attractive and muscly, trying to be someone with lots of money by the time they are 25 or 30, etc. As I have maybe said before I don't feel interested in the jobs and careers that some other men do, I just feel quite jealous at the current status looking as though they are at the height or peak of success and are prospering and so on and then it makes me look at myself and think well, here I am the same age as him and don't own a business and feel like this is probably what I ''should'' be doing or be at, at this point in life. I probably used to think when I was younger that maybe be by now I would have been married and got my own kids and a house and here I am still with none of those things but still being told by other people I am not the only one who is not married and doesn't have kids or their own roof over their heads.

One has to accept who they are.
Others... not so much.
