I feel like I always waste my weekends

I have a todo list as long as my arm. I can't do much on the weekend because of work. So I think I'll get it done on the weekend? Nope. I end up feeling disorganised and don't get much done.
It's even worse this weekend because I have a bad cold and my head hurts a lot.
I don't even play video games anymore. I just stopped. I know that in theory I would enjoy them but I just don't have the energy anymore. I always think I'll play them later.
I hear about people who say "you're wasting your time with video games". Hahahaha. I wish I was wasting my time with video games but instead I'm wasting my time reading about video games instead of actually playing them.
Oh, and sometimes when I get into an argument with my partner she says I waste all of my time playing video games. Like, does she even know me? Hasn't she noticed that I only play them a few times per year? Does she just have this stereotype that anyone who has games must be playing them 24/7. How do I even argue with that?

You might just be a bit overloaded all the time?
Shes probably stereotyping you too because of the high chance you have autism rather than just making assumptions because you own video games. If you was an NT with video games she would almost certainly leave you alone.
That alone is annoying. I had the same problem with my parents. I was seen as a "geek" and any interest I had was embellished to the point of outright ridiculous. If I played COD for an hour a day I was a video game addict. Liked a TV series?.....a troubling obsession.
It caused huge problems with the trust I have in my parents and people in general. I learned to become extremely guarded with everything I said and done and became a closed book because I just didn't know what they would latch onto next to become their new gripe of contention with me. Then predictably my secrecy became the next problem for them.
I just ignore all their "concerns" now.
I don't think playing video games is a waste of time. It's sad that she's not more respectful of your interests. It's important to balance getting things done with recharging and relaxation on the weekends.
I'm wondering if you could schedule time to play them. I know that that's not always feasible when you have a kid, but it could help your partner see that you aren't always playing. You could also mark on the calendar when you play. Maybe she should read up on special interests and autism, so she can understand you better.
When my son was around 5, we started playing video games together. Sometimes he'd sit on my lap when we'd play games on the Wii U. That could be a solution for you in the near future.
Waste as in don't do anything useful, or waste as in can't even get things you enjoy doing done? Sounded a bit like the later, but if you enjoy reading about video games, then it's not a wasted time any more than playing video games would be.
Either way, maybe you're just too tired to do much after a week of work? I always feel like I waste my Saturdays (my work week ends on Friday), but I tend to get much more done on Sundays. Maybe your tiredness simply lasts through the whole weekend and you don't get enough time to recharge? When was the last time you had a vacation? Maybe, if you had a week or so off, you'd have energy to do other things after three or four days of it have passed.

Ya I def waste a lot of time too, mostly online.. here, Facebook. Haven't been doing very many of the things on my todo list.
WISH I was as focused and productive as NT friends but find it very difficult to be that disciplined so my todo list grows while I waste a lot of time.
Ah well, not going to solve that problem Today.. so, maybe I'll do one small thing just to say I did Something then ride my motorcycle to the beach and waste time there with friends who Also waste time not getting anything done.
edit: This thread inspired me to do a few small things. Put my laundry away, replied to a pm, filed a fraud complaint with paypal for a bait & switch scam ripoff, worked out details and ordered a custom suspension setup for my motorcycle and paid the deposit, and now gonna go pick up a couple gas cans a neighbour is giving me so there's one or two less to buy when I go on an adventure with the truck soon to source some ethanol free high octane for all the motorcycles.
THEN I'm off to the beach to do not much for the rest of the evening.*
*unless I come back and switch up to my car to deliver a painting I commissioned as a 16th birthday present for my youngest God daughter.
