I know NT people have very hard time too, but if people have Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disability, life can be way more harder. Life was easier when I was living with my mom & in a house, she helped me alot when I was in my 20s, she was still buying my clothes, in my 30s she helped me too, I was living at her house, rent free, she saved all my SSI money, she had a bank account for me, I got on SSI in 1991, they was over $100,000 or more, I’m not very good with math, in 2000s, my mom took my money without asking me, she got a lawyer for her school, she owned a preschool. I wish my life was the same before I broke my ankle over 5 years ago. Everything is sooooooooo different now, my mom is gone, my fave aunt is gone & my grandma is gone too. When I was living with my mom, animals were my best friends, my first cat, Jenny & our dog, Jessie, she was a German Shepherd, I trained her to shake her paw, I trained her to do other stuff, she was a very smart dog. I really hate that I’m a crybaby now & think about dying alot. My mom told me I was a happy baby & now I’m very unhappy person. I HATE 2023 :cry: At least 2023 almost over :heart:

uhh I am struggling to, just seems like life never gets easy, does it? It's either this thing or that thing that comes up and it makes it hard to deal with everything. I can totally relate to that.

I don't have any advice. I'm just sending you my best wishes and hugs. That's all I can think of to do. {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}

I hear the boomers saying that younger people have it too soft and too easy, and that when they were young you didn't hear about everyone having a mental illness or autism.

But that's only because back when the boomers were young, people with mental illness and autism were usually locked up like prisoners or given frontal lobotomies that turned them into vegetables.

Your Mom shouldn't have been taking your SSI money to pay for a lawyer in her school?

That seems ridiculous.

Aside from that, I hope 2024 is better for you, Kitty. :heart:

We are all the same. We are all different. I am so sorry to hear you are unhappy and think about dying a lot. In my area there is a suicide hot line - you just phone 988. Or text. I am in the usa. Other links and numbers for other countries here: https://blog.opencounseling.com/suicide-hotlines/
I feel that way too sometimes. I was able to find a support person in my area who got me connected with a local intensive outpatient program (IOP) we worked on DBT techniques (Dialectic Behavior Therapy). You can google it - there are good youtube videos and web pages explaining more about how it works and how it helps.
I also read a book by Viktor Frankl , “Man's Search for Meaning”. He lived through a German concentration camp. It is a good book that doesn’t claim there is no such thing as suffering but talks about how to deal with suffering when it is real and unavoidable.

The beautiful imagination of the future makes people survive. I keep imagining, otherwise I will notice the bad reality.
