Why people pressure others to do something by a certain age?
I do get quite irritated when some people pressure other people when they are young to do certain things they perhaps don't want to do by a certain stage of life even in the 21st Century when people's attitudes and ideas have changed. Those certain things include finding a partner, getting married, having kids etc. I see it in people who are followers of some religions with arranged-marriages and in some rare cases, forced marriages. I mean years ago young women in just their late teens would get married off. I remember watching a program about gangster Al Capone and he first got married at 19 but I don't know that in bygone days, people from different cultures like Italians used to marry very early than they do obviously today.
I seem to think some people like my dad or maybe my stepmum want me to stop doing what I'm doing now and get with someone before time runs out because they know I'm 30+ but I continue to do my own things like my hobbies at home or sometimes going out and not actively looking on dating apps. I seem to also think they see what I'm doing and think he needs to change and I don't know if its just because they are older and thinking about their futures.
