How many people out there are genuinely satisfied with the life they live with have aspergers. I know my moods go up and down but how does everyone else feel?

I live on adrenaline and white lightning, since I went from runt to rugger life's been great.

If I was content to live like most aspies do I probably would have killed myself, lord knows most of my friends did!

The people here on WP are the only ones I know on Earth who accept me, that should answer your question.

Can't say that I'm satisfied with my life. Well, that's not true, I can say it, but I would be lying.

C'mon don't lay down and die.
What's wrong with you, just pick up your gun and charge!
Life doesn't wait for aspies, take a risk and realize it can't get any worse.

Usually risks do make it worse because it turns out bad every time.

Darnit username88,
If I can do it so can you, do you have a girlfriend/boyfriend?
Can you say you've exhausted all options?
Have you attended every social event?
Have you danced to every song?
Have you tried to learn from your mistakes?

Next time we have this conversation I'll come in swinging. But I only want to help, Love ya bro!

Maybe not every time.
I realized I cant have social phobia because it's based on a fear that something will go bad.
With AS I have the comfortable history of it actually happening dispite my best intrests.

1. Roller, your really starting to creep me out. By the way your talking I will most likely grow to despise you, as I have with so many others.
2. I have tried everything, and Ive talked about my pathetic "love life" so many times Im tired of talking about it anymore.
I went into details but I edited it out, who cares what you think. Just please leave me alone you cant help me and what your doing is just making me feel uncomfortable.

I personally am thrilled with having AS. For 17 years, I really thought that there was something wrong with me; that I was an evil person or a considerable freak of nature; that I might do harm to others without my intention of doing so; now I find out that it is not my fault genetically; there is nothing I can do about my genetics, however, with behavior modification, I can actually learn to be a good person.

Now am I happy with my life in general? I'm thankful and grateful for my life as it is, but I know I can do better. There is hope and life after the diagnosis; it is what you do with it that matters. I'm learning to do what you love, and then you'll end up good at it.

I attended a social event this weekend, where I was painfully reminded of being alone and bored others by recounting my past mistakes. I would be more happy and content with my life if it weren't for the times I took risks and tried to do what others expected of me. That's when the real damage happens. Thank goodness I now live as I see fit and no longer care what anyone thinks.
