I feel/think this way sometimes myself. You ride through it, feel the feelings and they pass. Most emotions are a response to here-and-now (inside and out). Understanding and changing what is happening in your mind is the best answer.

This could be a symptom of Depression or Residual PTSD (you mentioned you experienced violent bullying in another thread, I went through the same and ended up with both these conditions). I recommend Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through a local PHO. Ask your Doctor for advice on setting up an appointment, or talk to your parents if you still live with them.

PS - I would be serious in saying you are an intelligent, creative, artistic, and wonderful person whom's absence would make my world poorer. I'm honoured to be aquainted with the fellow Aspie you be.

God, I wish I could help. The thought of an Aspie killing themselves hits way to close to home, since I think about or wish I wouldn't wake up all the time. Please, if there's anything you need, don't hesitate to talk to me.

Yes.

I'm not the sort of person to make this sort of thread lightly. I would only make it if there was something seriously wrong.

Do you have a plan?

On killing myself? I have ideas. I have several ideas about hurting myself, which I'm fully prepared to implement. I don't have a plan of getting rid of the depression, that's why I resorted to asking.

Well, I could be wrong, I'm centainly no expert on these things, but I tend to think that you don't want to kill your self. I think people who really want to kill themselves don't usually talk about it. You've said you go through this once or twice a year, (I think,) so you know you don't always feel this way.

This is a false belief that causes people to ignore the blatantly apparent warning signs of suicide the fact of the matter is all suicide is a cry for help. In essence what this man is doing is saying help me life is so terrible I really don't want to live anymore. If that reply is not with caring and honest to god help then he very well may do it as his cry for help was not answered. It's one last ditch effort to try to make things better.

If you're feeling down, the biggest thing is sleep.

Getting up by 8 or 9am is very important.

Before bed, make a list of things you want to accomplish the next day, and do them before noon if possible.

Getting out in the morning sun works wonders.

Find a popular coffee shop that has comfortable seating, and just read a book. It's great, you're around a lot of people, and there's no pressure to talk to any of them.

Give yourself time to mentally prepare for work. The few moments before work can be very refreshing.

These are things that have worked for me. If you are feeling that down, it may mean that you lacking close, rewarding relationships. Find someone on WP that you really like, and build new relationships. That's what we're here for. :)

Well, as I said, I'm certainly no expert on these things.

This is a very old thread.

Avoid people, especially relationships.
Best way I know.
