Pretty decent, considering one was impacted. That was a painful incident, but when I had all four pulled, I was lucky and they "popped" right out. The guy didn't even have to put his foot on my chest when he used the plyers. ;)

Just make sure you get painkillers for later. And watch for dry socket, you don't want that.

Ow...I've had eight teeth removed in my lifetime - four of them wisdom teeth. It mostly hurts for the first day...after that, I was mostly just annoyed because the stitches were falling out a few days before they were due to be removed.

My main complaint is that I can still feel "craters" where the teeth were.

The surgery itself is weird...I only felt like I was there for a minute. Trippy. :P

I had all four of mine out about a year and a half ago and it wasn't too bad. They let me listen to my ipod and I was given laughing gas. Honestly under the influence of painkillers and laughing gas it was actually a pleasant experience. It was after I left the dentist and the painkillers wore off that I felt any pain. I also slightly resembled a chipmunk for a few days. The dentist will probably give you something to clean the sockets where the teeth were. Make sure you clean them so you don't get an infection.

The dentist wanted to take them out last time I went... I am very scared of having the procedure done next time...

I permanently lost the feeling on the right side of my face (one of the facial nerves was wrapped around the root of a tooth); they said there was only a 1% chance of such happening.

It's fun when I shave that side.

Mine all came out without too much trauma and pain... pretty much the usual amount of dental pain after a tooth-pulling.

The advice about the socket is important... yes.. make sure you take care of it as your doctor prescribes.

Hope all goes well for you! :D

I had three left-side molars removed a month ago.

Didn't hurt at all. Then again, they injected me with ketamine :D

Oh my gosh...

I thought my experience was bad

[P.S = the dentist had to give me five times the recommended dose of anesthetic as I was not becoming drowsy nor reacting to the original dose at all...after five doses...I was kind of, high ]

I had four out at once. No problem.

Just rinse with salt-water quite often.

Pretty much, you can't know what to expect. I've heard some bad stories, and other stories where it wasn't much of an experience at all. For me, there wasn't much pain, but my gums bled for a few days.

It's nothing, it's only pins and needles when I touch my right cheek; my mother said I could probably do party tricks by sticking needles in it, too bad I don't do the party thing (for obvious reasons).

Ironically enough, I went to an oral/maxillofacial surgeon to avoid said loss of sensation in the first place; I didn't go "under" general (I don't like such except for major surgery), just some injections. Retrospectively, it hurt quite a bit for a week (far more than the major abdominal surgery I had), especially on the now numb side (the nerve wasn't happy).
