I am very sad.

My beloved great aunt was taken to hospital late yeasterday evening. She was like a second mother to me. She is just short of 96 years.

Not much more to add, just feeling so sad!

I'm so sorry to hear that. I will be sending a few prayers up for you and your aunt.

I am so sorry, I hope she pulls thru but she did live a very full life. Have you had a chance to visit her yet?

Sorry, I haven't updated on this thread for a time.

First, I'd like to thank everyone for their thoughs, sympathies and prayers. They are appreciated.

Second, my beloved great aunt departed this life on 8 January shortly before midnight. My mother and my great aunts granddaughter were at her side.

Sadly, I never got the chance to visit her. At the time, I simply wanted to remember her as I knew her until recently. I now wish I had visited her.

She remembered WWI as a little girl. She remembers the Depression. How her husband died during this time and how she was left alone bringing up her young daughter and trying to make ends meet. She then remembers WWII and all the sacrafice that went with it.

Yes, she had a full life. She will be missed, most of all for the fact she she knew how to love and give unconditionally, without expecting anything in return.

Memory Eternal!
