So, I'm going to be entering my sophomore year in college next semester, and my parents have forced me to live on-campus for the duration of this year. I'm hoping to get an apartment for next year

I have to ask, for those of you who are college students who have apartments: is it hard? Do you have trouble paying your rent or all of your bills? What sort of skills do you think are necessary to successfully keeping and maintaining an apartment while having a job and being a full-time student as well?

I'm a long ways from a college stu, but since no one else is going to answer...

Is it hard?
Depends on if your parents are going to help you with finanace.
Depends on what you expect your standard of living to be. We can all do with out far more than we think. If you REALLY want to make it work, you can. If you think it's not worth it...try again. Too many people are going back to finish school for a reason...you need it to suceed these days. Getting back to school after you have been out is hard...the money, the time, juggling responsibilities that hopefully haven't even crossed your mind yet.

Bulldoze through it, young un....it won't always be easy, but it will always be worth it!! !

(and do what you can to keep debt to a min)

Well you're juggling your studies, your work, and keeping the cockroaches away from your pad. Can be a bit stressful.

Hopefully you'll find a job that can evolve with your study commitments. Might be worthwhile finding a job at the college you're attending. If they're anything like the uni I go to, they're pretty flexible when it comes it balancing work and study.

In any case, good luck with your move to dorm accommodation, I wish now I'd gone for it, I hear it's a blast.
