Right now, I feel like self harming again and is if I'm totally worthless. I haven't managed to talk to anyone today and I think that talking is the best sedative for me as I usually feel a lot better when I talk to someone. Does anyone here want to talk to me so I don't feel so alone?

Why shouldn't people want to?

I can imagine having the bad day... It's not all well in my house either...

The people I know best on here aren't online and I get the feeling that my posts here are ignored quite a lot of the time so I don't really have many people to talk to.

i don't give much acknowledgment to others at all so I assume they do the same ( I figure people are a lot like me in how they act AS or not) I'm sure you're not being ignored.

I get the feeling certain people ignore my posts but anyway.

I'm going to write a letter to the Samaritans regarding what I'm going through, I've been told they are a good service to use.

Hmmm... I think most people have the feeling their posts get ignored. Well, I am sure I do. Probably I just write boring, but ah well. What I wanted to say is just because there is no answer it is not per se ignored. A lot of the time I only write when I have something to say (according to my feelings). Just now is one of the exceptions :).

The only thing I can imagine why people would not write to your posts is your avatar looking really serious. I am always more careful around people looking serious, even if the avatar is intriging (or however you write that; I am not a native speaker). You seem pretty friendly from the posts I actually read (not all by far ofcourse).

I'm still here, Darling :D
Several people have complimented my avatar of Twiggy, I think people should judge me by what I write and not by my avatar.

I was not saying it is a bad avatar, it's even quite interesting... but she does look serious, doesn't she?

On a related note, I am the kind of guy who at a party would not dare to talk to nice looking girls anyway, so maybe my opinion is pretty useless :).

oh yes sometimes people talk more to a person with wicked avatar than someone who hasn't. i guess it's up to you to build an image of yourself so that people would gradually learn to respect you as a person. i haven't changed mine, although i got better avs, because it's true anyway that 9/10 i'm here to wail and moan about my 'problems'

say wassup then?

Hanwag, I know what you meant. Twiggy is quite serious I guess, it's all in the eyes 8)

Darling, I'm quite chatty tonight :D I have a new obsession with T.S. Eliot and am about to eat my dinner at 10:43pm :P

I also find that I feel better after I talk with people, as well. I can get things off my chest, and I feel better, afterwards.

Come to think of it a lot of people I like are pretty serious as well... but maybe more in words and intentions than in uhm, eyes. But, being ugly but fairly intelligent, it is normal I am more intimidated by looks than by words ;).

I think talking to people makes me feel better because it shows that people are paying care and attention to what I'm saying. I come off as pretty serious too and obscure looking, but fairly intelligent.

I think I once found a picture of you on this forum, but I am not completely sure... I have one with my very handsome dog and my worse face ;).

The funny thing about attention is a lot of people see wanting attention as something very bad, but truly it is a very normal human thing. And aspies can be human right? I really hope all this nonesense gets your mind of the bad things. If not, it does the trick for me a bit (as an aspie I have to right to talk about me every sentence, right? :))

(mine's actually posing to the left).

yes i know what you mean, i find that if i talk, i feel better much quicker if the listener responds like you want them to. and i've got a new timetable as well  i'm going to divide my sleeping time in chunks so that i can be awake from 2am to 6am =] i did that yesterday and it was soo peaceful mmm. lol!

aw come on, there's no such thing as 'ugly'. but i feel the same way as you do, because with words at least you can choose them carefully. but when people give you a funny look...
