Is this all apart of my autism- being easily frustrated by not being perfect?

No, being frustrated at not being perfect is common in many NTs as well, although it is a characteristic that Aspies can also have.

I'd say a lot of people, aspie or not, are frustrated by imperfection.

I think that is correct. Maybe its the reasoning behind it that could make it an aspie trait rather than just a general populace trait.

It's not a part of autism, it's a part of human nature.

As living beings, we instinctively want to be the best. It all comes down to the ways humans lived 1000s of years ago...."Only the fittest survive". In a way, it's still like that today. Except you wont be killed by a giant mamoth if you aren't "fit enough"...but you may end up out of employment.

Well...thats my belief, anyway. You don't have to believe it but I think it makes sense. :)

Yes, it makes perfect sense :D

I think the reasons why an aspie may wish for perfection may not be to do with other people though, it might just be because of something inside like a need for order so that their brains are not so confused or something.

It might be an aspie need for making something correct and logical, but for other people it might be out of competitiveness.

Not specifically, but if you suffer in this way to a debilitating extent (if you can't stop feeling awful about it - all day and every day), it's depression. And that is more common in people with social difficulties (including autism).

It is better to strive for excellence
than seek perfection

It all depends on your personal definition of what is "perfect". It's quite an ambiguous word. And in the case of people, it's completely dependant on the perception of whomever is passing judgement on the person in question.

According to the way I see it, I AM perfect. 8)

Though I do admit I may have a bit of an ego or even a god complex.

Yeah, my grandiosity was pretty strong at the time. If I was perfect, I wouldn't be struggling to maintain my composure right now. I have a lot of tension and depression built up and I am at the point where I could explode at any time. I'm struggling to hold it in until I get the house to myself tonight.
