Autism Speaks vs. Anonymous?

Hey all,

Once Anonymous is done with the Church of Scientology, you think we could get them to help us with our fight against Autism Speaks?

Or even start our own chapter of Anonymous... that would probably work better.

What do you guys think?

"Anonymous" is the name of a group who's been assaulting the Church of Scientology lately. They're attacking them for the unlawful, brutal and cruel treatment of former members and critics. On one occasion they sent bomb threats to themselves and blamed it on a journalist who wrote articles criticizing the church. There are many other atrocities they have committed, google them for more info.

Perhaps we could send anonymous video messages on YouTube like the following, and when they have events, protest peacefully with our faces hidden to raise awareness of our cause. I'm sure we could get parents of autistic children on our side. Not sure about Anonymous themselves, though...

Yeah, but getting them on side won't be easy...

I think, let Anonymous actually fight evil people. Scientology is evil. Autism Speaks is just stupid and misguided.

I'd rather set Anonymous on the Exclusive Brethren next.

Ok, what about starting our own Anonymous-like thing? Make it a collective rather than an actual organisation. They'll have nothing to sue then.

Though we'd be seen as the Scientology of this battle, given how they refuse psychological treatment and medicine, instead preferring (super expensive) self-help courses and vitamin and mineral supplements...

How could we mitigate this?

I have to agree though... we'd be seen as trying to take the kids away from the help they need. Seemed like a good idea, though...

don't you think Anoymous has more important missions to do?
I mean it would be great if they did, but not many people care about Autism Speaks or even know about it.

WTF? Why do you like them?

Well, I may not know all that much about them, all I know is that they raise money kindly for people with very bad autism. Before I had done ABA Autism Speaks could have really helped me. My mum received virtually no help from doctors etc to help with making me become more normal. We want to go back to those doctors so I can show them how much I've changed!!
