I saw my ddd casemanager on thursday. there was a lot of services but it was suggested that i make one my parents my limited guardians, that is be able to make medical and finacial decisions
for me. Im not sure wether or not to do that. I v been psych hospitalized before mostly because of my parents actions and things they have told the police. Things between my parents and me are much better now but theres nothing to say things couldnt get worse again. On one hand it could give them the ability force me to take medication i think, but then they were able to have me hospitalized and forcibly medicated with any paper work at all. On the other it would make somebody able to intercede against the the doctors and social workers should i ever be in that situation again. THey are already handling my finacial stuff so it really wouldnt matter on that end. Im not sure what to do.

It is wise to have someone whose judgements you trust should you find yourself in a position where you are unable to make your decisions and life choices known. It doesn't have to be a parent...just someone who you can confide in and feel completely
trustworthy... and that person has to be willing to accept such a role.

All individuals, whether disabled or non disabled, need such people in their lives.

Nightbender, when they told things about you to the police, were they telling you the truth?

somewhat. When they get really stressed out they have tendecy to make stuff up. Although not having paperwork for me certainly hasnt stopped them from making my life difficult. My mom currently is going to holistic college specifically to learn how to help me so she see things my way now.

I swear that some people don't know when they're making things up, but that's one of my personal sore spots. It's nice to know that your mother actually went to the trouble of learning how to help you.
