I have to work in a group for my anatomy dissection class and I'm finding it really difficult. First of all, everyone started talking like they had known each other for years, even though they had just met, except for me of course. Then when we go through the dissection, they are all talking about what they are uncovering, etc but I can't follow, even after reading the dissection guide. They all seem to know what's going on, except for me. I just stand there not saying anything, staring blankly.

This has made me feel very depressed because I feel like a useless lump.

Part of the problem is that there are four groups in the room, all talkng at once, plus fluroescent lights and the smell of formaldehyde. Plus if I try to focus on trying to think of something to say, then I cant focus on the anaomy, and vice versa.

Well I'm just depressed and wanted to rant a little.

That's pretty much why I hate group work.
It appears like everyone is friends right away, except for you.
I do find it harder to follow along and keep up with a group too.
