In light of my inability to find a single individual in the area qualified to discuss and diagnose conditions on the spectrum, I have had to come to terms with the fact that I will not be able to confirm or deny AS at this time. So I'm focusing on who I am, and what works for me, instead of the definitions and diagnostic labels. The advice I find here has been helpful where all others have not; the stories more familiar that those of my family. I'm tired, and frustrated, but trying to find a positive right now.. that despite the unknown, I've still found something that helps the confusion abate.
