I have Aspergers, I have learned to accept that, but my home life situation is driving me crazy. For those who dont know me, read my blogs and it will help shorten the story here so I can leave out some details. First of all I am 29yrs old and I live at home with my parents. Long story short they have not gotten along for the past year. I can move past all that, I could even handle them getting a divorce. What I cant handle is the fights that break out at 2 am in the morning. Or the screaming, and pushing. I can never be happy anymore because if I do it will just all be crushed once the screaming starts. I used to look forward to Christmas and how happy we all would be, now I dont even want to celebrate it. I look forward to the 2 week break from school but that is it. I dont want to do anything but be left alone. It is so hard to not be able to go to sleep at night because you are worried about what is happening around you. Things have gotten so bad here. I cant just move out either, that would be the best answer. I cant drive, and I do not have a real job. I feel like there is this lump in my throat all the time. Most of the time, I just have to try and hold back from crying. Like right now I am starting to cry as I write this. I really couldnt take the fact that my mom blamed what happened with my dad on me. He was flirting with a woman. This has caused over a years worth of hell for me. He never slept with her, kissed her, or anything, he flirted with her at work. She says that just because I worked near him I should have stopped him, so it is my fault. Yeah its my fault that she left me at the age of 11 to take care of my 3 year old sister. Sure I had three older sisters, but they were basically there just to take me to school and watch her for the few hours I was in school. Then I would have to come home clean house, take care of the baby, do homework, and cook, while they all went off to live their lives. God I just feel so angry, and sad at the same time. I just want to scream and cry together. My parents had another fight at 4 a.m this morning. I have been up ever since, because it lasted until 7 a.m. then they went to sleep, my father on the couch, my mother on their bed. It happens this way just too much. I am sleep deprived, and just nervous all the time. There is alot more to this story too. I just learned of the fact that I have an older brother. Yeah a half brother that my father had with my mothers cousin when he was 17. Another thing that has come up, during one of their fights, is that I am not my fathers kid. I dont know if that was said out of anger or what, but to involve your child in a fight like this and say something so mean is just horrible.
I know I am rambling, there is so much more .

Can't you mension your issues to your parents? That you really cannot stand this situation?

And why can't you move out?

First, the best healer is time, just ride it out.

Second, no, they shouldn't be using the kids in arguments, but they also shouldn't be squabbling like kids so that is a moot point.

If you are concerned about parentage you could get a DNA test.

There is no way you are responsible for your father's roving eyes, that is ludicrous, she's angry and speaking out in anger and not making any sense.

Time, it will get better or it will get worse for a couple secs and explode then it will get better.

I can not move out because I do not have a steady job. My job right now is running their business for them so I am basically dependent upon them. As far as money goes, they have always just paid my bills, so there is no savings, but lately because of hard times, my credit card bills are now behind so I can use it either. And no I do not have alot of stuff on them either it is just a few that I got to pay for college books.
