My mom drove past one of my father's old homes a couple days ago, and I got rather upset. It's the one I remember most with him, and the one where I start seeing my personality change because of his abusive nature.
Is there anywhere/thing like that that does that to you? How do you cope?

I think I remember you telling me that over a pm ebec. If not, then I must have seen it else where in a post in some other topic. I'm sorry about that. *hugs*

Whenever I hear a song such as "Angels" from Within Temptation or most of their songs, I get emotional. A lot of them remind me of my lives experiences. Or any song that reminds me of my experiences.

Whenever I go on Fanfiction.net, I get very sad due to my experiences on that place. Unfortunately they aren't too pleasant ones. If you want to know about them, you can pm me. I feel I have repeated myself too many times on that. Maybe not on WP, but in other places.

I go to Catholic Churches and I remember that scene in the Hunchback of Notre Dame were Esmeralda sings, "God Help the Outcasts". It gets me emotional every time.

Pretty much anything gets me emotional. Especially music or death.

After I saw a picture of an autopsy tables without corpses on them for the first time, I was traumatized. Everything looked like those ugly autopsy tables. Yet I was drawn to it. I went back and looked at those pictures again. Now I've seen tons and I enjoy looking at them; they don't upset me any more, it's just fun and fascinating.

Yes. One who was torturous to me (a counselor, now ex-counselor due to her abuse) used to watch me cry, scream..then meltdown, like a seizure. Then she would say, "See you next time! Have a nice day." She always drank coffee with a hazelnut creamer.

Still the scent of hazelnut creamer in coffee makes me feel nauseous. I don't like "Have a nice day" unless it is spoken genuinely.

Sorry ebec11.....I can imagine that would be hard and you seem like me in that you remember. Abuse is never forgotten and I've been subject to plenty of that (and even therapeutic abuse).
