I really think I'm losing it. Yesterday evening, my parents went to run some errands for a couple of hours, while I stayed home. I was watching my typical weeknight lineup, while on the computer. I kept hearing different noises, like footsteps upstairs, or the garage door closing, or a car pulling up. None of these things actually happened though. So now I'm starting to get concerned. Do I have Schizophrenia?

8O :? :(

I doubt you are. Houses make noises sometimes. I remember a few years back I was home alone and heard noises, even a sound that someone was coming up the basement stairs. I was so terrified I stayed outside until someone came back home. I'm still not sure what it was. And no I'm not schizophrenic.

Hallucinations can be caused by a lot of things that aren't schizophrenia, and if you had schizophrenia, you probably wouldn't realise (from my understanding). If the noises persist, and keep bothering you, talk to your doctor.
