Yippee... it was a little bit after I woke up. I'm pretty much always hallucinating, like I'm on magic mushrooms, except without the colours... but this one was actually somewhat eventful. What it was? My dog chewing on a Gameboy with the game sticking out of it. It only lasted about 10 seconds or so. Wikipedia can't seem to define what type of hallucination it is...

That's more common than you think. I once heard someone yelling my name in distress. So I panicked and looked around my house for them, but it went away.

Perhaps you're precognitive and your gameboy will soon be eaten by the dog?

I used to halucinate often, for no reason, when I was younger. Doesn't happen often anymore.

Does it usually just happen shortly after waking up? It's not rare to have hypnagogic hallucinations, like where you're still partly dreaming.

I've done a few psychedelics, smoked a fair share of weed, and I don't think I've ever hallucinated. It would cause me distress if I did.

Being personally well-versed in various kinds of hallucination (the drugs of my past), I would say this reminds me most of the mental confusion of waking up after being purposely passed-out, not of any drug.

If the hallucinations cause you distress, you can try antipsychotics. Or, if you want to have them but they cause you distress, you can tell us why and we can try to help... what other hallucinations do you have? I'm curious.
