I forgot to mention in an old thread that when I was strapped for cash and needed money to pay for my car and to have it fixed, while I was unemployed I donated plasma.

Regular plasma donation (2 times a week) pays about 200 dollars a month. If you start in January you could have 1200 dollars by June which would be enough for a cheap air ticket, really cheap hotel and nosebleed section concert ticket to England to see Take That.

Or you could save for winter/next summer and have a really nice plane ticket, and a really nice hotel, and a really nice seat at the concert.

provided that you do not have unprotected sex, take drugs, have recent tattoos or have traveled to specific areas outside of the country, or have transmittable diseases... plasma donation is an excellent way to scrape together a little cash.

also if you are Jehovah's witness or other religion that prohibits that sort of stuff.

also put your money into a savings account to earn a little interest.

you can also rake yards if there are leaves, shovel snow (if there is snow), and mow lawns (if they have a lawn mower), walk dogs, help with household chores .... (all of which I have done)

if there is a place nearby that needs this you can also participate in drug trials (haven't done this) or research trials (like studies on hearing, or practice patients where you pretend to have a certain illness to student doctors can practice diagnosing you)
