At my last evaluation the evaluator asked my mt if she thought I had aspergers or PDD-NOS. The mt said she thinks it is the PDD. So now no body knows what I should be dxed as. Then when my mom asked when she came to my house she isnt even sure I am on the spectrum. I just wanna cry. They( the nts) don't know what its like to go through life wondering what is wrong with you. I mean I felt much better when I could say I have a form of autism.
So any way has this happened to anyone. I really think I am on the spectrum.

As yet I am still not officially diagnosed with anything, but my psych said I am very likely PDD-NOS. I'm still a little confused about the different labels, and what constitutes what (as you can see in my thread in the GAD).

I know how you feel. People around me, treat me as if I am exactly like them, although I know I am not. I really feel I am on the spectrum aswell. As for going through life wondering what is wrong with you, well I am the same. Only now I realise there's nothing wrong with me, I'm just different.

Hang in there :D

People tend to not believe me about AS cos I'm not officially diagnosed yet. It's really annoying.

I know how you feel. Even if you wasn't on the spectum, you still have the same problems to deal with and are always welcome here. Just see how it goes.

I believe you'll find a dianoses i went thru the same thing until i was dianosed at 14 i wish i was dianosed sooner then i could've had more help but i didn't know what was wrong with me either. The doctor kept on going back & forth with syndromes. First they said ADHD & put me on ritalin which wasn't the case (i seem no where near ADHD). Then they kept saying i was ADD but it didn't quite fit me either then they say autism that didn't really fit then they say Asperger's & it stopped at Asperger's i went so long not knowing what was wrong with me i knew i was different i could tell it even in school i felt islated & alone & couldn't seem to communicate with the other children & used to get teased on a daily basis i always knew i wasn't normal & i'll never be normal. At one time i thought i had my own syndrome never heard of i thought i was gonna get my own syndrome because at first nobody knew what was wrong with me. So i have faith you'll find what your looking for :)

My shrink when I was 19 said he thought I probably had "a pervasive developmental disorder, like Asperger's" and later he pointed to the PDD-NOS section in his DSM and asked, "How would you liek to have this?" I was relieved I wasn't getting a second diagnosis of AS. It's complicated why I don't like my AS label. For one, I don't have all the symptoms of AS, or even enough to warrant a diagnosis, which the so-called expert who was in the papers overlooked years before.

My mom was so confused on why I am making such a big deal abotu havign a dx. I'm like well I feel better knowing what is wrogn with me. She said that I am like on the border I have either the PDD-NOS or Aspergers. The problem is they are like so close that no one knows which I am. I actually sat and debated with ym mom as to why should I be havign to go through this dx battle when to me pdd and aspergers is very close. I'm like all aspergers is is a asd. Then she was really concerned and was like how do you kno all these definitions. I sighed and said research. I called ym sister a stupid nt. She had no idea what I was een saying.
