A Brother Thing that bugs me

I suppose this is a brother-squabble thing, but something happened a few minutes ago that I just can't shake off.

You see, my brother frequently is asking me questions about how to play certain video games, and most of the time, I enter his room to discuss it. But this time, I didn't feel like leaving my room (which is right next door anyway) so I just called out what to do from my bed, which bugged him, because he didn't feel right 'talking to a wall'. After 8 minutes of this, he finally dismissed me as a pain in the ass and said he'd look up the information himself! WTF? I try to help him, and he writes me off as annoying?

I probably shouldn't have even bothered posting this, as it's such a common problem among families and siblings, but something about the way he dismissed me really burned me! Like I'm only valuable to him as a source of company, but when I do something unintentionally that annoys him, he blows me off as a pest! I feel like I'm boiling on the inside, like I wanna hurt someone or break something!

Well, I suppose the least I can do to make myself feel better is old-fashioned stonewalling. Not that I'd refuse to talk with him, but I will not honor him with my company for some time. He really needs to learn how to function without my friggin' help!!

(P.S. - crisis averted; He explained his situation, and said that it was his fault, and that he should have looked up the info on Gamefaqs himself, so all's well)

I have similar problems with my brother, I agree it's annoying. I also understand the feeling of boiling anger, when I get that I really have to scream, cry, swear or hit someone.

He's right. He should have used Gamefaqs. I swear by that site.

I have an idea. I say you two set up a structured system of who gets up when? For example If your brother needs something or you need something for the start of this system you get up first. After that, alternate, meaning your brother gets up. After that, if you or your brother needs something then you get up.


Here is how it could go. This could be the order of who gets up when something is needed by the other

U=Usagi
B=Usagi's Brother

U,B,U,B,U,B,U,B .....

Or

You can do it by the day of the week. For example: You, Usagi could be the one who get's up the whole day on monday. Your brother could get up on Tuesday.. This repeats.

Here is an example

Sun = U
Mon = B
Tues = U
Wed = B
Thur = U
Fri = B
Sat = U

Ugh what I hate is when someone else wants to talk to me and yet somehow I am the one that has to get up and go find them. If I want to talk to someone across the house, I have the courtesy to go find them and speak to them. But heaven forbid anyone show me the same courtesy. Nope, they'll just call me from the other room until I get up to see what they want.

Arrghh :evil:
